I attended Wesley?s street photography session. Wesley is passionate about photography. He conveys concepts and techniques very well. He is approachable, a great listener, encouraging, and has great suggestions. He has lots of example photographs he uses to explain concepts. I recommend him if you?re looking for tips or just looking for time and a venue for photography.

Hello to all up and coming hobbyists and professionals alike! I have been a photographer for about 20 years now. Classically trained with film and darkroom before embracing the versatility and convenience of digital. While I have always idolized and paid most attention to nature and wildlife photography; I have some experience with most types of photography.
With that, I look forward to hearing what drives you most about photography so that passion can grow and inspire others after it. Let's learn and show how beautiful the world can be and how paramount artistic perspective is!

The photo was taken on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 4:10 pm and there are a Barred Owl family nesting in Heron Haven. I've photographed them a few times, but they are normally sleeping during the day. On this occasion they were really interested to see what I was doing, and even moved to get a better view of me. They are absolutely magnificent creatures.

While I know this isn't Omaha, I shot this picture of a Baltimore Oriole in the tree above me. My grand parents were bird watchers and had feeders hung by all their windows in the kitchen. As a kid I grew to appreciate them. Orioles always stood out to me.

I just got into hobby photography late last year. I was gifted a camera from a good friend who had upgraded, as spring rolled around I began visiting Heron Haven to try my hand at wildlife photos. This was from one of my first trips back in April. As a full time bartender, it has been amazing to get out into the quiet woods and let things slow down a bit. It is made all the better by getting to share space and time with the local fauna.

Captured at the Pass Christian Harbor on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, this image features a Great Blue Heron perched calmly on a piling as the sun rises over the marina. This particular moment was more than just a photo op?it was a day spent exploring the coast and sharing a passion for photography with my sister during a visit back home. For me, this scene perfectly captures the essence of the Gulf: the quiet beauty of our local wildlife, the warm glow of a coastal sunrise, and that unmistakable

This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.
